My name is Seth Chinnis and I am a 25-year-old designer based out of Waynesville, North Carolina (about 15 miles west of Asheville). Although I grew up in Charleston, South Carolina loving the beach and (semi) big city life, I have thoroughly enjoyed the transition to living in the mountains. I received my undergraduate degree from Clemson University in Graphic Communications with a minor in Advertising. Since having the proverbial light come on in a high-school class, I have spent the last eight years immersed in both the technical and theoretical aspects of the design field.
When I approach a new project, before I make the first sketch and before I open any program, my first task is to ask "why?" Because some form of communication is at the foundation of any visual, I ensure that every supporting piece of my designs serves a purpose. What does this mean to you as a client? This means that I will deliver practical answers to your design needs. Whether it is a one-page website, a multi-faceted ad campaign or complete identity makeover, I will devise a concept that effectively address the "why"...without the fluff.
I can't possibly spend all my time aligning pixels and choosing colors, right? Close...but thankfully, no. In my spare time I love to be outdoors - whether it is rafting and hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter. I also have a slightly unhealthy obsession with Clemson football. So if it is a fall Saturday, I'm either setting up the tailgate near Death Valley or glued to a television hoping I don't make a fool of myself in front of the other fans watching the game. And when everything settles down, my favorite time is spent with my wife Katelyn and our crazy beagle Sammy.
